  • XRP Ledger Decentralization New Process

Who becomes the new verifier of XRP ledger transactions and how many entities controlled by Ripple are still participating in this process.

XRP Ledger Foundation sharing upgrade UNL: Ripple's popularity decreases

According to the official information released by XRP Ledger Foundation, a non-profit organization registered in Turkey and applicable to XRPL ecosystem, the new Unique Node List (UNL) has already been released and has been upgraded significantly.

First, make sure to add a new authentication entity xSPECTAR to the default verifier list. This project has proved itself to be an active and reliable member of XRPL ecosystem:

Later, XRPL Charity Foundation decided to delete two Ripple controlled verifiers from the list and add a new Ripple verifier

In other words, Ripple now has 2 of 35 verifiers, which is less than 5.8% of its distributed storage capacity.

XRP Ledger Decentralization New Process

XRPL Foundation means to pay attention to that this upgrade is in line with the current policy of all entities to reduce several verifiers.

As mentioned above, on September 3, 2022, according to Wo Jake, an outstanding enthusiast of Evernode, the XRPL service platform, the system completed a significant level of checks and balances.

He added that the dUNL explicitly proposed by Internet enthusiasts can be adjusted: every Internet account can cooperate with various verifiers.
